Members of the 138th graduating class of Sutton High School took the spotlight Saturday, May 11, as the class of 2024 took the next steps in life during the ceremony at Sutton High School. AG’s office charges Mattison with 1st degree murder

On the morning of Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2022, the body of 25-year-old Jasmine Garnett was found on Road 26 east of Harvard by a person working in the area. Nearly two years later, 35-year-old Anthony Mattison of Osceola has been charged with first-degree murder, and will stand trial in Clay County Court, where his first court hearing will take place Tuesday, May 14. His arraignment hearing is set for 10 a.m. that morning.

Though these three Sutton golf team members fell short of individual medals at the D-1 District meet, Monday, May 13, they had a hand in helping the Mustangs qualify for state as a team.
