Billionaire bride Katherine Asplundh has made her return to the app after she shut down her account when she was put on blast for attempting to bully another user into giving up her username.  The Instagram bully, whose maiden name is Driscoll, married Cabot Asplundh, 27, of the Pennsylvania billionaire tree trimming family at a reception in Palm Beach, Florida, two weeks ago. She went viral in early May after aggressively messaging a stranger who shares her married name, demanding she hand over her Instagram handle:@katherineasplundh.

Despite disappointing home sales trends at a national level, one state in the U.S. South saw increased sales last month - though analysts warn buyers of an ongoing inventory crisis. While rates fell throughout the country last month, sales in this state rose year over year for the first time in nearly three years. Existing home sales for the month of April jumped 9.78 percent to 1,122 year to date. Furthermore, the median sold price climbed 4.97 percent from March and 6.51 percent from April 2023. Despite this good news, the U.S. housing market at large continues to face a housing shortage, compounded by factors including the Great Recession and rising mortgage rates.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on Sunday became a candidate for the Libertarian Party's presidential nomination, a shocking move that could give him enough votes to defeat Donald Trump or Joe Biden in November. Kennedy, who spoke at the convention Friday, was nominated by a delegate on the convention floor on Sunday to be the party's White House standard barrier. Kennedy's candidacy was met with boos from other delegates.  There was initially some confusion over whether or not Kennedy, who is running an independent bid, would accept the nomination and if he had filed the necessary paperwork.

A Pennsylvania man detained in Turks and Caicos for carrying ammunition in his luggage has finally been released from custody and reunited with his family.  Video footage captured the heartwarming moment Bryan Hagerich, 39, arrived at Pittsburgh airport Friday night and hugged his crying kids and wife after seeing them for the first time since his arrest in February.  Upon his arrival, Hagerich told reporters he was 'absolutely elated' to be home, CNN reported.

At least five people in Texas, including children, were reported dead after a tornado ripped through the northeastern section of the state, as severe weather and power outages in the central US puts a damper on Memorial Day weekend festivities. The five deaths were in Cooke County, Texas, with three fatalities occurring in a single household, Sheriff Ray Sappington told CNN.

Dominican actress and former Miss Universe contestant Massiel Taveras became the latest star to clash with the same security guard on the Cannes red carpet on Saturday afternoon. She was preparing to unfurl a huge gown with a depiction of Jesus on it, but appeared surprised to be stopped by the security guard. Footage of the spat showed Taveras defy instructions and throw the train of her dress down the stairs, before the situation escalated to the actress shoving the female security guard as she walked into the event. It came just days after the same guard was scolded by Rowland on the red carpet, which the Destiny's Child implied was due to racism that led the staffer's colleagues to insist she was 'only doing her job.'

At the Washington State Championship, transgender teen athlete Veronica Garcia was booed after winning the 400-meter dash with a time of 55.75 seconds. Garcia, representing East Valley School District, finished a full second ahead of the first biologically female runner, Lauren Matthew. While there was cheering at the finish line, boos emerged as Garcia took her first-place position on the podium. Public schools in Washington allow athletes to compete based on their gender identity without requiring evidence of medical transition. Following Garcia's win, former NCAA swimmer Riley Gaines, an anti-trans activist, criticized the result on social media.

Christiana Ritchie, the fiancée of late PGA golfer Grayson Murray, was set to wed the two-time winner before he sadly passed away on May 25, 2024.  The couple, who lived in Florida together, bonded over their shared love of golf and their Christian faith when they met in 2021 at the American Express tournament in Palm Springs. Sergio Perez walked away unscathed from a huge 160mph crash on a crazy opening lap of the Monaco Grand Prix. The Mexican, starting 16th, was tagged by the Haas of Kevin Magnussen heading uphill after the first corner, Sainte Devote. The Dane's front left caught Perez's rear right, sending the latter into the barriers. Perez then richoted into the other Haas of Nico Hulkenberg in dramatic pinball action that brought out a red flag while the debris was cleared.
